This proceedings includes articles from my early postgraduate years, when I taught a course on Energy Sources and Conversion. The articles were adapted from those lectures and, in addition to describing the most important energy sources and the methods used to convert them into their final consumable form, they also provide historical context regarding the use of various types of energy.
This proceedings includes articles in which I describe the theory, design, and construction of turbomachines. The articles are based on lectures from the courses "Turbomachinery" and "Turbines and Turbocompressors", which I currently teach at the Brno University of Technology.
This proceedings includes articles in which I describe the theory, design, and construction of Stirling engines. I wrote these articles while I was involved in the development of Stirling engines.
This proceedings includes articles in which I describe the theory, design, and construction of steam engines. I wrote these articles while I was involved in the development of small piston steam engines.
This proceedings includes articles in which I describe the theory and applications of fluid dynamics. In these articles, I focus primarily on phenomena that are utilized in energy conversions, thereby complementing the theoretical discussions in the previously mentioned articles.
This proceedings includes articles in which I describe the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for the design of energy conversion equipment and for understanding the theoretical explanations used in the previously mentioned articles. For the most part, these topics fall within the scope of a traditional mechanical engineering education.
